A recent study done by Statista, a popular provider of market and consumer data revealed that in the fourth quarter of 2020, social media networking site Facebook had roughly 2.8 million monthly active users. Active users were defined as users who had logged in to Facebook during the past 30 days. In the third quarter of 2020, the company’s core products which consist of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger had accrued 3.3 billion people.

Chances are, even if you’ve outgrown Facebook itself, you’re still using at least one of the company’s networking products. Since October 2020, most Facebook users access the site via their mobile devices. This has allowed the company to tap fresh mobile-first online markets in many parts of the world. Thanks to the range of Facebook-related apps, the company is the most popular (in terms of the number of downloads) app publisher in the world.
