Quick and Easy Bathroom Cleaning Tips to Avoid a Full Day of Bathroom Cleaning
Bathrooms can be really tough to clean, so we understand if you dread cleaning this area of your home. But, breaking up bathroom cleaning chores into more manageable tasks can help you clean up the space more effectively and without spending too much time. Here are a few tips to help you keep your bathroom clean and tidy.
Touch up your toilet frequently
This is likely to be your least favorite task, but keeping your toilet sanitary is important. While you could do a thorough cleaning once every week, make sure to clean the bowl more often to keep germs at bay.
Do your laundry
It’s likely your bath towels and linens get washed quite frequently, but you may be missing out on washing your bath mats and hand towels. Keep in mind that not washing these items regularly can make them a hotbed for germs.
So, wash all your towels at least once a week. While you’re at it, it’s also a good idea to throw in your shower curtains into the washing machine.
Scrub your tubs and showers regularly
Regular scrubbing of your tubs and showers is important to keep grime from building up. Do this at least a few times a week to keep mildew at bay
Clean your mirrors
A large mirror can make your bathroom look larger. But, it’s of no use if the mirror has dust, fingerprints, and loose hair on it. So, it’s a good idea to wipe your mirror with a soft cloth and glass cleaner at least once every 10 days. For the best results, do it after you shower so the steam can help soften the gunk and make your job a lot easier.
If you want to keep your mirrors from fogging up when you shower, you could buff a droplet of dish soap into a dry mirror with a paper towel. Doing this will keep you from having to wipe down your mirror with your hands after you shower – which can be a key source of fingerprints on the glass.
