Two Arrested in Connection to Road Rage Shooting of a 6-Year-Old
Two people have been arrested in connection to a fatal road rage shooting incident that took place in Orange County, California, last month. The shooters killed Aiden Leos, a 6-year-old, who was sitting in a booster seat while being driven to his kindergarten on California Highway by his mother.
CHP Commissioner Amanda Ray said, “While these arrests will not ease the pain of a mother’s loss, my hope is for the Leos family to have some peace of mind and to rest assured the CHP will work with the Orange County District Attorney to bring justice for Aiden.”
The suspects have been identified as Wynne Lee, 23, and Marcus Anthony Eriz, 24. Both were arrested at their home in Costa Mesa and will likely be charged with murder. As per the Orange County Jail roster, Lee and Eriz are currently being held on a $1 million bond.
Earlier, Aiden’s sister Alexis Cloonan made a heartfelt plea for people to help identify the killer. “Please help us find the people that did this to my little brother. He’s only six and he was so sweet,” she said. “There was road rage on the freeway and someone pulled out a gun and shot my little brother in the stomach,” she told reporters. “He said, ‘Mommy my tummy hurts,’ so she went and she picked him up and he was bleeding on her. She had blood on her clothes.”
Cherry Gish, a community member, said the arrest has brought some justice to the family, however, it will not bring Aiden back.
